Được thành lập năm 2009 trong khuôn khổ Hiệp định liên chính phủ giữa hai nước Việt Nam và Pháp, Trường Đại học Khoa học và Công nghệ Hà Nội (USTH), hay còn gọi là trường Đại học Việt – Pháp, đào tạo 2500 sinh viên theo tiến trình Bologna (hệ thống L.M.D). Trường nhận được sự hỗ trợ mạnh mẽ của Viện Hàn lâm Khoa học và Công nghệ Việt Nam và Liên minh USTH Consortium (gồm hơn 30 trường đại học và tổ chức nghiên cứu uy tín của Pháp).
